Choctaw 72, South Walton 30 Don Brown’s Indians crew moved to 6-0 in the early going with a dominant performance against the Seahawks on the road Thursday night. Senior Ataliyah Brown led the team in scoring with 23 points, Sarai Bonilla had 13, and Alexis Becker and Maida Bubenikova each had 11. Up next, Choctaw travels across town for a matchup with rival Fort Walton Beach at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. South Walton 38, Pensacola Catholic 28 The Seahawks rebounded from their loss to Choctaw with a gutsy, grind-it-out performance against Catholic on the road Friday night. Aidan Collins had a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds, and Dlora Akram chipped in nine points and six boards to help halt a brief two-game losing streak. Up next, the Seahawks (5-2) conclude their three-game road trip with a stop at Fort Walton Beach at 5:30 p.m. Monday. Boys soccer South Walton 6, Rutherford 2 The Seahawks took it to the Rams early in Friday night’s road matchup, scoring four goals in the first half, which moved the team back above .500 for the first time since opening day. Over its past four games, South Walton is 3-1 and outscoring foes 26-5. Up next, the Seahawks (5-4) host North Bay Haven at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Santa Rosa Beach.
